Respite Support

We all need a break sometimes. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to find someone with the skills necessary to care for your child.Whether you are looking for a few hours , or a specific number of hours every week, we can help!.

 

We are in the process of offering Respite Supports by experienced individuals trained in the basic principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis. Our Support Workers are also trained in First Aid and Crisis Management. Before starting Respite Services, we meet with families and their loved one, to discuss the level of support they would require of us, their level of communication, their challenging behaviour, routines and preferences, interest, likes and dislikes and a full assessment of what their BSP and ISP deems necessary to work on.

 

A support Staff that best suits the child and has the necessary background would then be selected to meet with the family and the child , AJA Support services prides itself in making the family feel at ease. once that familiarity has been developed, we then speak to the parents as per the schedule and any other information that might not have discussed, afterwards, the support worker comes to the home, day program or treatment centre to support them with extra curricular activities, behaviour management and etc,
